Young Edwina turns her talent for advice-giving into a show-within-a-show starring her zany neighborhood pals. A hit Off-Broadway in 2010, the hilarious and touching musical includes lots of funny roles for everyone. (If your child plays piano or dances ballet, please let us know!) We welcome children entering grades 2 through 7, with 1st grade siblings allowed if they are reading independently. If your child is in 8th grade and wants to continue to participate, please contact Sofia at unitystagecompany@gmail.com to discuss.

2024/2025 production of

Dear Edwina Jr

“Dear Edwina Jr” is a longer, bigger production than Annie KIDS was last year.
• More songs, dances, and scenes mean more opportunities for your talented children to shine.
• “Dear Edwina Jr’s “ rehearsal period will be a month longer this year, culminating in performances the first weekend in May.
• We are providing TWO spaces for rehearsals this year, both at St. Marks Church so we can work on songs/dances in one space, and acting scenes in the other.
• We will be providing live piano accompaniment this year. No music tracks!
Auditions will take place September 8, with callbacks September 15. Registered kids will be emailed audition materials before September 8.

*Kids must be registered before auditioning, no exceptions.

Rehearsals will be held on Sunday afternoons from September through April. Performances May 4 & 5.

“Paw-Paw” cast meets 4pm to 5:30pm,

“Kalamazoo” Cast meets 5:30pm to 7pm

Parva (82nd St/Northern Blvd for excellent coffee and pastries. The Queensboro at 80th St/Northern Blvd, great food & drink. Espresso 77 on 77th St off 37th Ave, wine/coffee bar with food & art. Black Thai (Northern Blvd off 82nd St) solid Thai food, nice ambiance. Gianni’s Pizza on Northern, off 82nd St. low-key slice spot w/back garden. Tons of other places but these are Unity’s faves. 🍕
